Paul Cook's Wigan Athletic side are the next visitors to Elland Road, as Leeds United take on the Latics this Friday for their first of two games over the Easter weekend.
The Whites go into Friday afternoon's game with momentum having picked up a second win in a row after securing a 1-0 win over Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday at home last Saturday.
The three points saw Leeds move back into second in the Championship table, and after Sheffield United were held to a 1-1 draw at home to league struggles Millwall, Leeds sit three points above the Blades with just four games left of the 18/19 season to play.
With just two home games left to play this campaign, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa told the press ahead of the Wigan game about the impact the fans make: “I realise how important they are. What they give to us is very important. The fans have a high influence on what we do.”
Striker Kemar Roofe also revealed what it's like to play in front of the fans at Elland Road:
"It's amazing, especially when you walk out, and they're waving their scarves. I can only imagine it's intimidating for the opposition."
Latics look for much needed three points
Despite losing just four out of twenty-one home matches this season, Paul Cook's Wigan Athletic side only see themselves sit 21st in the league table, and just two points above the relegation zone.
What has seemingly let the Latics down this season is their away form. They have only won one out of twenty-one away games this Championship campaign (a 3-0 victory away at Stoke in August), drawing four and losing the other sixteen.
But despite their poor away form, they will be going into Friday's game against Leeds in high hopes having picked up a 1-1 draw at home to Norwich last weekend. They will be hoping to produce a similar performance and pick up some much needed points in hope to avoid the drop into League 1.
Previous meetings
Leeds took all three points away from Wigan in November earlier this season, after goals from Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe cancelled out Reece James' 6th minute free-kick and secured a 2-1 win for the Whites.
