Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview: Leeds look to stretch unbeaten home run to five games

Leeds United host Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on Saturday in what is the 99th meeting between the two clubs.

Marcelo Bielsa's side go into Saturday's clash on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat away at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Goals from Pascal Groß and Danny Welbeck earned the Seagulls are vital three points as they look to secure Premier League safety, ended United's six-game unbeaten run in the process.

After last week's results, Leeds United dropped back down into the bottom half of the Premier League table, into 11th place. Leeds sit just one point below Aston Villa who occupy 10th, however, Villa have a game in hand on the Whites.

Leeds will be aiming to return to winning ways on Saturday but it won't be easy as they face a Tottenham Hotspur side who have lost just one in their past six league games, and who have the Premier League's leading goalscorer, Harry Kane, at their disposal.

Spurs recently sacked manager Jose Mourinho, just six days before a League Cup final, replacing him with 29-year-old Ryan Mason.

The former Tottenham midfielder took charge of his first league game last Sunday and saw his Spurs side thrash already relegated Sheffield United 4-0 at home, courtesy of a strike from Son Heung-Min and a hat-trick from loanee Gareth Bale.

The win moved Spurs up into 6th on 56 points, just two points below West Ham who are in 5th and five points from the top four. With four games left of the season, Spurs will be hoping to make a late push for a European spot.
