Fulham vs Leeds United Preview: Leeds look to lift London hoodoo

Leeds United once again travel to the capital to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage as they continue the search for their first win in London since December 2017.

United will certainly fancy their chances of breaking the London curse as they come up against relegation strugglers Fulham. Scott Parker's side have won just five games this season, drawing 11 and losing 13, which is why they currently sit in the bottom three on 26 points.

The Cottagers are just two points from safety, however, they have played a game more than Newcastle and Brighton who sit directly above them in the table.

Fulham are in desperate need of points as they head into the final stretch of the Premier League season and have been doing so recently, picking up three wins and five draws from their last 11 games. They do, however, go into Friday night's game against Leeds on the back of a heavy 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Leeds United picked up an unlikely point against high-flying Chelsea at Elland Road last weekend, drawing 0-0 with Thomas Tuchel's side.

Neither team could break the deadlock in what was only Leeds' fourth goalless draw under the leadership of Marcelo Bielsa.

It was a solid point that Leeds picked up and it keeps them firmly in mid-table. The Whites sit in 12th place on 36 points, ten points above Fulham in 18th.

With just ten league games left to go, relegation is still talked about in West Yorkshire. A loss on Friday would only add fuel to that fire, however, a win over Fulham would surely put those Premier League survival doubts to bed.

TEAM NEWS

Fulham head coach Scott Parker has no fresh injury or suspension concerns following last week's defeat at home to Manchester City.

Midfielder and club captain Tom Cairney remains unavailable with an ongoing knee problem that has kept him sidelined since mid-December.

Elsewhere, Leeds United's top scorer Patrick Bamford, who has 13 goals to his name this season, is expected to be fit despite suffering a hip injury against Chelsea last weekend.

Captain Liam Cooper and fellow defender Leif Davies are certain absentees, while Rodrigo is a doubt with a minor muscle strain.
