Leeds United travel to the capital this Saturday afternoon as they take on Lee Bowyer's Charlton Athletic away at the Valley.
The Whites go into this weekends game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Philip Cocu's Derby County at Elland Road last Saturday. It was a disappointing afternoon for Leeds fans but despite that draw and other results last weekend, the Whites remain at the top of the Championship table on goal difference.
Leeds go up against a Charlton side managed by former player Lee Bowyer, who is likely to get a good reception from the travelling United fans.
Bowyer has done well during his time as Charlton managed, securing promotion from League One through the play-offs last season. The Addicks have enjoyed their life back in the Championship so far, as they picked up four wins and two draws in their first six games this season, however they have lost their previous two fixtures. A 1-0 loss at home to Birmingham was followed up by a 2-0 defeat away at Wigan Athletic last Saturday.
Team news
Marcelo Bielsa revealed in his press conference this week that Leeds United can welcome back 27-year-old midfielder, Adam Forshaw, who has missed the past two games through injury. However Leeds will be without 34-year-old midfield maestro, Pablo Hernandez, after the Spaniard picked up a muscular injury. Bielsa stated that Portuguese winger Helder Costa will start in his place.
Elsewhere, Charlton Athletic are still without 29-year-old striker Lyle Taylor who is out with a knee problem. Taylor is the league's highest goal scorer so far this season after netting five times in just eight games.
