Leeds United have announced that head coach, Marcelo Bielsa, will remain at the club for a second season.
After numerous meetings, Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has exercised the option to extend Bielsa's contract for another year, with the Argentine to continue his role as the head coach.
Bielsa signed with Leeds in June 2018 on a two-year deal, with the club having the right to extend or terminate Bielsa's contract at the end of the first season.
During his debut campaign, Bielsa won 25 of 46 Championship games to end the season with a 54% win ratio, guiding his side to a third place finish with a total of 83 points - the highest points tally since Leeds' League One promotion in 2010.
On the announcement, Radrizzani said: "We were close (last season) and next season we will work harder to achieve our goal.
"So, let’s have another go. I am delighted that Marcelo has agreed to stay for another year – we have unfinished business."
