Leeds United have announced the signing of Portuguese winger Helder Costa from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 25-year-old joins Leeds on an initial one year loan deal which will become a permanent transfer next summer after agreeing a four-year contract with the Whites, keeping him in West Yorkshire until the summer of 2024
Costa began his playing career at Prortuguese side Benfica before loan spells at Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna and French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
He joined up with Wolves on loan in 2016, scoring 10 goals and getting 8 assists in 35 appearances to be named the Player of the Season. Costa then signed with Wolves on a permanent basis for a then club record fee.
The forward played a key role for Wolves as they won the Sky Bet Championship title in 2018, and last season he played a total of 25 league games as Wolves finished 7th in the Premier League.
After getting an international call up, Costa made his debut for Portugal in last years 3-1 against Scotland away at Hampden Park where e scored the opening goal.
Costa becomes Leeds' fourth signing of the summer transfer window and will wear the number 17 shirt.
